We are excited to announce the latest addition to our PIDB team, Danson Piyelit, who will take on the role of Loan Service Specialist starting December 16, 2024.

Danson previously served as a Case Worker/Project Assistant at the Micronesia Resource Center. In this role, he facilitated workshops designed to improve work readiness and resume development, while also providing individualized career counseling to clients. His responsibilities included data collection and recording, client case management, delivering information and counseling services, making appropriate referrals, leading community outreach initiatives, organizing youth empowerment activities, and performing various administrative tasks.

Danson participated in the Young Pacific Leaders Sports Leadership and Management program, where he represented Guam and the Federated States of Micronesia at a conference focused on sports leadership and management. This experience helped him develop essential skills and knowledge, as well as a professional network that he can leverage to use sports as a tool for enhancing education, employment, and community engagement. He has also completed Interpreters Training to support the Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence.

Additionally, Danson volunteered for the Point In Time Count, helping to survey and count the homeless population in Guam. He assisted Akudi by delivering essential goods to homeless clients. Danson is certified in safeTALK, has completed the EEi Workforce Development Program, and has earned recognition on the Fanuchänan 2020 Dean’s List. He is bilingual, and proficient in both English and Chuukese.

We are confident that Danson will make significant contributions to our organization, and we look forward to the positive impact he will have in his new role.
